Turning off Automatic Windows Updates
Software security updates are an unfortunate yet necessary part of using computerized systems. We know how frustrating it is to have your system start updating by itself while your staff are trying to make sales in your store. Some of the recent Windows updates have turned on the automated feature again. To make sure your updates are not scheduled to run during store hours, follow our step-by-step instructions here.
UPDATE: Temporary Windows Driver Issue with Pole Displays
As a result of the recent major Windows update, we have been informed by Bematech that there may be a temporary issue with the driver for their Logitech Pole Displays and Windows 10 computers.
For merchants that are experiencing issues running their ACE Retail point-of-sale system on Windows 10 together with Logic Control LD9000 or PD3000 pole displays, we recommend that you disconnect the pole display and un-install the driver at this time. We will make an announcement once we have an update from Bematech regarding the availability of the new driver.
